How to Replace an programming audi a1 key audi key fob not working [https://peacock-daugherty.hubstack.net/where-can-you-get-the-top-Audi-car-key-information/] G28 Engine Speed Sensor

In this video Charles the humble mechanic demonstrates how to replace the G28 engine speed sensor. The sensor is located near the transmission's edge just above the flywheel gear. It transmits a signal the ECU via a grey wire (T55/49), then to the tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

It is located on the outside of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends an electrical signal to ECU pin T55/49 via the grey wire. The ECU utilizes this information to control the amount of fuel and boost. It also sends a signal to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor serves as a reference for comparing with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu must know when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is so it can activate spark and injectors in the right way.

If this sensor fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of sync with the Intake Camshaft. It could also be a sign of an issue with the chain or a jumped chain link in the upper chain. However, the code won't appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

It is a little tricky to test as there are various pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The best method for doing this is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is fully functional, it should read approximately 1000 ohms. If you're experiencing issues with this component, look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth one was dry. When I crank the engine without sparks, Key For Audi i place a tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I assume that the problem is in another location.

I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem persists at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c, even if I unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars while the actual pressure is 0.

I'm not certain what to do, but i believe that i've completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal sent from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both function in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a junkyard or at a parts store. Testing them is easy to do - just put your DMM in resistance mode and measure between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's end up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's side). They should be infinite Ohms.

4. ECU

The ECU of our 20vt turbo (3B AAN ABY ADU) engines needs to be aware of the position and speed the crankshaft in order to make a decision about timing of the fuel injector, etc. To accomplish this, it makes use of a Crank Position Sensor (G4) and an Engine Speed Sensor (G28). If you encounter a problem with either of these sensors, the diagnostic scanner will show codes that could cause an engine shut down.

A damaged G28 sensor can cause an inaccurate speed counter for the gearbox or a gearbox that shifts more quickly than normal, or an unfire when in the gear. It is probable that your sensor is failing and needs to be replaced if you notice any of these signs. They're cheap and easy to find particularly if they're a Bosch sensor like ours. Alternatively, the GM version of this component is also a great option.

5. Tachometer

A malfunctioning engine speed sensor could be the reason behind a slew of problems in your car. It's a vital component of the audi key shell's transmission since it relays information to the ECU about how fast or slow the vehicle's crankshaft is spinning. This sensor could cause the transmission to fail and other components in the car to be affected.

Land-Rover.pngThe G5 engine speed sensor is located at the outside of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear and sends a signal to the ECU at pin T55/49 through a grey wire. The ECU then uses and processes this signal to regulate fuel, timig, and boost as well as transmitting it to the G5 tachometer in the instrument cluster. You can test for sensor failure by examining the continuity of the sensor to the tachometer. Additionally, you can verify continuity between pin T55/49 of the ECU and pin T6a/1 of the instrument cluster (trace [79trace [79]), and between pin T6a/1 and pin T26a/12. You should detect an average resistance of 1000 ohms in these areas. This is a typical part across the audi lost key 80, 100, 200, UrS and RS2 range from 1985 MC until the 1997 UrS AAN and 1995 RS2 ADU. Good ones could be available in wrecking yards.
