The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport utility is the ideal stroller to use when you want to get off the beaten path and get some exercise. The jogging stoller features pneumatic knobby wheels that are perfect for trail runs, and a handbrake that allows you to control the downhills. It also features a state-of the-art suspension system and a two-step folding design, and an enormous cargo basket. If you purchase the right adapters you can pair it with a child car seat.

The main flaw of this jogging stroller is its weight and dimensions when folded. It weighs 25 pounds and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is the average for this class of strollers. The size of its footprint isn't ideal for narrow turns or trunk spaces, though it does have a small handle at the rear of the basket that you can pull to collapse it into the most compact, flat position.

This stroller is easy to maneuver, despite its size. The front wheel comes with a locking mechanism, which allows you to switch from normal to locked running mode. The handlebar can be adjusted to accommodate different heights for parents. It has a large seat that can be retracted to nearly flat, and a large vinyl peekaboo window.

The Sport Utility also scored a 9 out of 10 for its exceptional quality. It has a thick frame made of aluminum with tight connections, smooth edges and no sloppy stitching. It also has adjustable shocks, which help with smooth-rolling performance.

The Sport Utility stroller, like the other BOBs we've reviewed comes with adapters for car seats. This lets you use it with various infant car seats. It took us 5:24 minutes during our tests to assemble the stroller, from unpacking it to getting it ready to go. The assembly was straightforward however you'll need a Philips screwdriver. The instruction manual included is clear and well-organized. However, it's an excellent idea to have one on hand in the case.

In the Strollers test program of Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger does well overall for the price, and gets higher marks over its rivals in a variety of categories. The 5-point harness that folds, unfolds and adjusting backrests and engaging brakes on the wheel and infant car seat installation and removal (only compatible models) are all included. It's designed with a simple one-handed recline, which is deep enough to allow sleep. However, the ratcheting canopy cover isn't always easy to fix. It takes around 8 minutes to set it up. The instructions are confusing, with multiple languages mixed up and confusing illustrations.

The only drawback to this jogger is the lack of a suspension system. This means that the ride will be more bumpy than other strollers that are all terrain 4 wheel pram-terrain. It is easy to open and close. Only two hand-holds are needed to release the plastic catch that is located on either side of the lower frame. There is also a secondary lock catch on the red handlebar which can be opened by one hand, which makes it extremely convenient to use.
