What Is Item Upgrade And Why Is Everyone Dissing It?

Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations that are applied.

For instance, the premium shield for racial discrimination Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb capability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item, such as an armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective way to upgrade gear. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchase them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of a piece equipment such as increasing its damage.

Players can reroll their equipment into three aspects: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.

There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a better quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action spaces remains on the space until the next success is rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of each preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.

Leveling

The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain an Upgrade Item to a higher level. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.

Certain items are better off being upgraded less for their increased stats, but because it allows players to gain the most value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show an in-game window that lists the required requirements. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
