It's The Robot Hoover Case Study You'll Never Forget

본문

The Best Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention. It will leave your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Certain models also automatically empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in an additional bin at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust that gets released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. As with other top iRobot models (including the top choice), they use smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our bare floor tests, and they're particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of bare floors and you want to save some money. It's also very quiet and works while you are at work or in school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a compact, sleek package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This top-performing mop and vacuum combination utilizes advanced sensors to dodge obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to take off and extend its mop. This can help avoid cross-contamination. Its flex arm is ideal for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. However, it doesn't have the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house, with 66 per cent of its battery remaining. It did a decent cleaning job on a variety of rooms and floors with various flooring types, including some area rug. Its obstacle detection was superb and it stayed clear of fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, best robot hoover circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba unit than the boxy models of the competition. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's loud that could be problematic if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to sleep.

It's also a bit costly however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it will cost you more and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine, similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and refills the water tank, and washes and dries mop pads.

The smart best rated robot vacuum employs a combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than its more expensive competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazards detection but this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the automatic vacuum and mop robot works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home in accordance with how dirty they are.

For larger houses it's recommended to choose one with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a specific area of your home using the app or voice commands. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. Finally a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price would suggest. It vacuums well and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other robot mop cleaners we've tested. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it's more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we've examined. It also has an app that's less intuitive and a small base station that can't double as a bin to empty.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
